WGUN 1871 RADIO is committed to protecting personal information and to being transparent regarding what information it holds. The purpose of this Policy is to give a clear explanation about how the radio station makes use of the personal information provided to it. The station’s Board members ensure that information is held in accordance with all applicable laws concerning the protection of personal information.

a) from station membership application forms
b) from contacts made while seeking advertising on the station
c) from contacts made when arranging studio guests
How the information is used
We collect only information that is needed, and we tell you how we use it. We limit the collection of information about you to what we need to know to manage your membership; provide customer service, including responding to your questions and communicating with you about your account and activities at the WGUN 1871 RADIO Site; make access to certain areas and features at the WGUN 1871 RADIO Site available to you; verify your identity; offer new products and services; notify you of changes to the WGUN 1871 RADIO Site policies; perform market research, analytics and operations; tailor content, advertisements, and offers we make available to you; improve the WGUN 1871 RADIO Site; fulfill any legal and regulatory requirements; and for purposes disclosed at the time you provide your Personal Information or otherwise with your consent. Under certain circumstances we may share location data with our third party partners for market research and other data analytics related purposes. If a WGUN 1871 RADIO Site does not currently provide this ability, you can still change your data profile by contacting your local radio station. All WGUN 1871 RADIO Site will provide this feature in the near future.
As a result of providing your personal information to us, WGUN 1871 RADIO can provide a more customized experience, making your interaction with us more productive, helpful and fun, and will enhance the services and offers that we can bring to you. If you provide us with your email address or cell phone number, or have done so in the past, we may send you email or text offers or newsletters. These offers or newsletters are based on information you provided in your membership application, registration forms, surveys, or from information that may indicate purchasing preferences and lifestyle, as well as information available from external sources, such as census bureau data. These email/text offers will come from WGUN 1871 RADIO only. Your information, email address or cell phone number is never sold to a third party. All offers are carefully developed to guarantee that they meet our standards. Our goal is to target offers that you will find to be of value to you. At any time, you may request to discontinue receiving these communications from us by simply replying to the email address or text number included in every email/text message that you receive from us.
From time to time, we may offer contests or other promotions on the WGUN 1871 RADIO Site. If you enter a contest or sweepstakes, or participate in a promotional event, we will ask you to provide information about yourself (such as your name, address, and email address). Among other things, we will need this information to contact you if you win, and we may also use this information for marketing purposes. We may share this information with any sponsors and prize providers of the contest, sweepstakes, or promotional event; sponsors and prize providers will be identified in the official rules. We may also share this information with or other third party service providers that help administer our contests, sweepstakes, and promotional events, such as by conducting drawings, and/or delivering prizes to winners. If you do not want to provide the requested information or have the information provided to sponsors, prize providers, or other third party service providers, please do not enter the contest, sweepstakes, or participate in the promotional event.
We monitor URL click-throughs found in our electronic communications. The click-through rate is reviewed in order to track (i) participation in contests and sweepstakes to judge effectiveness and award prizes; (ii) your interests and preferences; and/or (iii) response rates for marketing purposes or to report to a client in aggregate form only, the response of listeners. Individual activity is never shared with employees or third parties.
At times, our clients might collect Personal Information about you on the WGUN 1871 RADIO Site or on-site at a retail locations or other WGUN 1871 RADIO events. The collection of this information is clearly marked as information being collected by or for a third party, and providing such information is strictly voluntary. We may help facilitate the collection of the information by providing forms and collection boxes for the client. Sometimes this information is shared with us at WGUN 1871 RADIO Site, though we will only market to you if you have given us permission. Information gathered in this manner is shared with our client partners; and other information you may have previously provided to us remains private.

Additionally, we may transfer and disclose your information to third parties to comply with a legal obligation; when we believe in good faith that the law or a governmental authority requires it; to verify or enforce our Terms of Use or other applicable policies; to address fraud, security or technical issues; to respond to an emergency; or otherwise to protect our rights or property or security of third parties, visitors to the WGUN 1871 RADIO Site or the public.
Keeping information safe
The information is retained on a protected computer and is accessible only to members of the station’s Board. We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, personnel, and physical security measures designed to safeguard information about you in our possession against loss, theft and unauthorized use, disclosure or modification. For example, transmission of any payment transactions where you provide sensitive financial data such as credit card information will be encrypted. Of course, despite these measures, we cannot guarantee perfect security of networks, servers and databases we operate or that are operated on our behalf.
Keeping information up to date
WGUN 1871 RADIO will from time-to-time – usually annually – make contact to confirm that the information that is being held is correct. It will help if contacts advise the station of any changes whenever they occur.
Changes to this privacy policy
The station may update this Policy at any time.
In the event of significant changes relating to the way it treats personal information, it will notify contacts by email and/or by placing a prominent notice on the station’s website.
Access and Corrections
Access to information that we collect and maintain about you may be available to you. For example, if you registered for a password-protected account within the WGUN 1871 RADIO Site, you can access that account to update the information you previously provided. If you delete your User Contributions from the WGUN 1871 RADIO Sites, copies of your User Contributions may remain viewable in cached and archived pages or might have been copied or stored by other users. Proper access and use of information provided on the WGUN 1871 RADIO Site, including User Contributions, is governed by our Visitor Agreement.
Third Party Communications
If you have submitted your information on a page provided in conjunction with one of our service providers, the information you submit may be jointly maintained by us and the service provider. If you decide to change your preference or opt out from communications, you may also need to contact the service provider separately to request your information be removed from its database. Please visit the applicable third party’s privacy policy for their data collection practices and choices they make available to you. The privacy policies of the third parties control the collection, use and disclosure of all personal information transmitted to them.

Deletion of Personal Information
You have the right to request the deletion of your personal information collected or maintained by us ("Request to Delete"), subject to certain exceptions permitted by law.
To make a Request to Delete, please submit a verifiable consumer request pursuant to the instructions below. We will acknowledge your request within 10 business days and will attempt to respond substantively within 45 days. If we need additional time, we will let you know. Once we receive your request to delete, we are required to verify that you are the person that is the subject of the request (the “Verification Process”). The Verification Process consists of matching identifying information provided by you with the information we have about you in our records.
Additional California Disclosures
California Civil Code Section 1798.83 entitles California users to request information concerning whether a business has disclosed certain information about you to any third parties for the third parties' direct marketing purposes. California users who wish to request further information in compliance with this law or have questions or concerns about our privacy practices and policies may contact us as specified in the "How to Contact Us" section below.
Online Tracking Policy for California Residents: As of the effective date of this Privacy Statement, there is no commonly accepted response for Do Not Track signals initiated by browsers; therefore, we do not respond to them.
